What A Bride Needs To Know Before Her Wedding Day

Let’s be honest…the wedding day can be full of stress, busyness and pressure. Bride’s rely on their wedding planners to make sure every detail is executed, and no balls are dropped. Brides often forget about hair and makeup until the day of the wedding. Aside from having a trial run or a preview, Bride’s often do not see or speak to their hair and makeup team again, until the day of the wedding.

After doing over 700 weddings each year, our company noticed a need that Brides and planners often forget about on the wedding day.

Without fail, after completing each person in the bridal party, the Bride suddenly realizes her makeup might not last the entire day and night. We, of course, do everything to make sure makeup will withstand sweat, heat and humidity…but there are some things that are just out of our control. All of a sudden, we are asked by the Bride and bridal party for anything that will help them…lipstick, lipgloss, lash glue, etc.

These are the very things a Bride needs to prepare for BEFORE the wedding day.

This is why we created a Makeup Touchup Kit designed specifically for helping makeup last throughout the day. Everything you need to stay feeling fresh and confident.

Did you know, you are never supposed to put powder on top of professional makeup that has been set with setting spray? The oil and sweat on top of the setting spray will mix with the powder and create a terrible finish on your face. The BEST thing to use is blotting paper. This removes excess oil and sweat from the top of your face without taking off the setting spray or your makeup. You can then reapply setting spray to feel fresh again.

Lash glue is another MUST HAVE. We always use super strong lash adhesive, but there are times that the glue did not dry correctly or the eyes/lashes were watering and prevented the adhesive from sticking. It is always a good idea to have lash adhesive on hand to reglue any part of the strip that has come up or separated.

As much as we love a good lipstain, there are some circumstances when it has to be reapplied. Everyone has different proteins and thickness to their saliva. Because saliva is different from person to person, lipstains can breakdown faster on some. We definitely recommend having a lipstain and/or lipstick for reapplying throughout the night.

We are confident that the SOS Makeup Touchup Kit will be a necessity and lifesaver on the wedding day!!
